7. LOAD TEST ON PILE

The load test analyses the altering behaviour of pile-soil compound for loads  up to 1,5 times higher  the operating load.
The test is carried out by setting a hydraulic jack between the top of the pile and the existing foundation beam. A 3 cm. thick steel plate is set between the pile and the beam and an  Enerpack jack  of 366,4 square cm. is put over the plate, in contrast against the beam. A set up manometer indicates the jack pressure, hence  the P load operating on the top of the pile. The sinking dimension is measured by  three centesimal flexometers set at 120° around the pile to be tested.
